Anger is a big and strong emotion, which can become overwhelming and damaging. We want to work with families before they hit crisis.

This workshop and accompanying resources were designed and written by Standing in the Gap using Solution focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioural therapy principles to help children manage big feelings.

Join us for our exciting new series of online workshops looking at how we can manage Anger effectively.

This includes:

  • What do we mean by anger

  • How does it make us feel? (including early warning signs and triggers)

  • Come to understand how Anger grows, what the Bomb model teaches us and real effective practical ways to stop anger becoming overwhelming.

  • Learn how to have Good anger and not Bad anger.

  • Hear about our 5 steps to Managing Anger

  • Learn how to build your own Managing Anger toolkit

In the workshop we cover a lot of information. We do recommend that you purchase the Managing Anger resource pack to assist you and your child. This contains a 60 page workbook you can work through together, a BIG Feelings Diary and all the interventions and sheets mentioned in the workshop. These are available from our Online shop

Following lengthy discussion we have decided to start charging a nominal fee for our workshop tickets. Please purchase one family ticket to join the session, irrespective of how many are present.

If this fee is inhibitory to you being able to attend, and you feel this workshop would benefit your family, we do have a number of FREE places, for families, on each of our workshops. Please email info@standinginthegap.uk stating which workshop and date you would like to be considered for.

If you are in the fortunate position where you are able, you can pay this forward and purchase additional family tickets which can then be used to offer free places to more vulnerable families.

If you want to share this info with a friend who may find it useful, click on the flier below and it will open in another window, so you can attach it or download it to share.
